Jim and Mary Lou Stone

Jim Stone and his wife Mary Lou began worshipping with the Auburn Church of Christ in 1968. Jim, a graduate of David Lipscomb University and Michigan State University, is retired from Auburn University, having served as the executive director of campus information technology. Jim was baptized in 1955 at the Fairlane Church of Christ in Shelbyville, Tennessee; the same community where both Jim and Mary Lou were born and raised. The Stone’s son and daughter-in-law Jay and Julie live in Birmingham and have two children. The Stone’s daughter Beth and her husband Philip McGee live in Huntsville and also have two children. Aside from his responsibilities of serving as an elder, Jim enjoys golf, tinkering with software, and all kinds of electronic projects.
